James "Jim" Vannoni

James “Jim” Vannoni, 52, of Eddyville, died January 17, 2021, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born May 23, 1968, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Steven and Sandra Allison Vannoni. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1987. Following graduation, he completed Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa Oklahoma. Following school, he worked all over the country as a union welder on large construction projects. He enjoyed being on job sites of large projects including ship building and welding on high rise buildings. He enjoyed fishing and roller skating. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. His family includes his parents, Steven and Sandra Vannoni of Sigourney, Iowa; his siblings, Mike (Tracey) Vannoni of Des Moines, Amy (Adama) Kante of Ottumwa, Mark Vannoni of Fremont, and Stephen (Stacey) Vannoni of Albia; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral service and burial will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1:30 PM in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, Iowa with Reverend Jim Eschenbrenner officiating. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until service time. According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
