At his home in Hedrick, Iowa. Visitation: After 12 Noon on Sunday with the family present from 2 to 4 PM Sunday afternoon. January 19, 2003 at Fremont Funeral Chapel Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Monday January 20, 2003 at Fremont Funeral Chapel Interment: Brooks Cemetery in Hedrick Richard L. Craft was born on April 26th, 1937 in Ottumwa, IA, the son of Carl & Ollie Abrams Craft. A Hedrick resident his whole life, he had worked for Hedrick Community Schools and at Edgerly’s in Ottumwa. On January 16th of 1957, Richard was united in marriage to Evelyn Adams at the Hedrick Christian Church. He had been self-employed for many years and was also a member of the Hawkeye State Archeological Society. Richard’s memory is honored by his mother, Ollie Craft of Hedrick, his two sons; Rick Craft and wife Rosemarie of Colorado Springs, CO and Tracy Craft and wife Julie of Herndon, VA, his daughter, Diana Rugg and husband Robert of Omaha, NE, seven grandchildren and a brother, Donald Craft and wife Cheryl of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his father, his wife Evelyn in November 2002, a son, Danny Craft and a grandson, Kyle Craft. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
